Jeremy- Posted September 30, 2005 Posted September 30, 2005 Clearly, I have no idea how to word this properly. But this is the basic idea: Currently, the blog, gallery and board itself all use a different skin element from each file for comment display. As in, blog has it's own comment function in it's skin file, etc... Since these are all layed out the same way, wouldn't it be smart to have a global way of doing it? A global function for the source files to do the needed queries and then a global skin element that could be used for any module. Just think back to when 2.0 came out, the Top and Report buttons were moved from the right side of the post to the left for topic posts. But stayed on the right for Gallery comments (for a little while, at least). It was pretty confusing. This would solve such problems and make skinning much easier and less repetive.
The Drifter Posted September 30, 2005 Posted September 30, 2005 I totally agree on this, they all should use the same fluid layout so it matches across all the platforms.
