As an Admin, I receive a lot of PMs, some of these PMs I would like to add to a folder or be able to mark then as favourites for quick retrieval, similar to an email inbox. Can we have a folder and a favourite options for the IPS Private message messenger soon? Or maybe a third party option?

I like how tags can be used as prefix. It would be nice if you include this feature to [Forums] Saved Actions Perhaps off/on button Add tag/prefix. Example

Can you please add the option of adding Tags in Saved Actions. Currently we use tags to show the status of applications/requests and use Saved Actions to auto reply, lock and move a post. Currently we need to manually add the tag but would be nice to have it all in one!

One nice features of Github's markdown implementation is that it automatically removes double-line returns between paragraphs, and lines before and after the text content. This makes it so you never have those annoying errors that mess up the paragraph spacing. You know what I mean? People make these kind of errors all the time. I don't want to go in and edit their content to remove such a minor and common mistake, but it makes things look ugly.

I am playing around with subscriptions and noticed the following two issues: Manually added subscribers cannot upgrade their subscription - so if you manually in ACP add a member into a plan, seems they are locked into it and cannot upgrade into a better plan if they so choose in the future. The option does not exist for them on the /subscriptions page. Removing a manually added member from a subscription does not revert to old member group - if you remove a manually added member from a subscription that moved their user group, removing their subscription does not move them back to the user group they were in before the subscription.

It would be nice to have an option to choose if newly added content should mark the post as unread or not 🤔 And refresh the date and time of such post, otherwise users may not notice an addition.

Stripe supports direct debit payments. Please make an integration to support direct debit. Ideally with the ability to manually choose to turn on/off direct debit separately from on/off card payments. Or per region. So that one can choose to only accept direct debit for U.K. members, and also only direct debit for SEPA. And card payments for all other countries.

Hello, We recently started using the social login features in our community, however we wondered if there is an option to track the amount of people who have registered using this? Maybe this is something that can be added in future? Kind Regards, Thomas

Blogs in my community are public, and I know there is a setting for users to make them private and only allow users on a list to see them. But some users would like to have a blog that is not public for guests and search engines, but for all users who have logged in. Can you please add such a setting in a future release? Blogs are an important part of my community, there are more than 1000 of them. Thanks, Markus

Following this thread. Requesting IPS to delete the original images after storing the Large and Small resized images. Technical workaround for future rebuilding images, IPS can store 1 more resize Large size image (without watermark) as a backup and discard the original ones. The reason is these days many DSLR cameras and hi-tech phones are creating 20-40 MB images. When the system resizes to Full-HD it results in 200-500 KB max. Storing original size images is causing huge disk space usage and daily backup consumes a lot of server power and bandwidth. We have reached 375 GB daily backup due to these images and are restricted now to save only 2-3…

Many self-hosted servers are setup to support running just one version of PHP. All PHP scripts need to support that particular version or there will be compatibility issues. Now that PHP 7.4 is approaching it's EOL there will be a concerted effort by developers to ensure their PHP code supports PHP 8.0 and PHP 8.1 in the very near future. The challenge is that some developers will release products that will only work when PHP 8.0 or PHP 8.1 is running on a server as they will have decided to abandon support for PHP 7.4 all together. So IPS and custom and marketplace apps will support (or not) a variety of vastly different PHP versions for the next several…

By law, a user must be able to unsubscribe from the community and you can also decide to delete all its contents. IPB does not have this function ... how is that possible? As an admin, I can delete the user and decide whether to delete all his messages as well. As a first step an admin must delete the user without his posts and this he can do ... The problem is that the posts become all written by an unregistered user. If subsequently the user (no longer registered) wants the cancellation of all its contents, the admin on can do it. This is a very serious shortcoming ...

Reaction permission at the user level should be a thing. I'm sure many of you are aware of "rep bombing", or the act of mass reacting to someone's content with the sole intention of hurting their credibility or personal growth within the community. Reactions & Reputation is a great way for users to express themselves. Removing it entirely or not allowing "negative reactions" due to a few bad actors is not an ideal solution. We should be able to restrict bad actors from using the Reaction / Reputation system at the user level.

I think I posted about this ages ago but its something I find so annoying and it would be great if it could be improved. The user interface for starting a post simply doesnt work when you have sub forums. For example if I want to start a topic in general chat, when I select it I then have to click in the white area beside the drop down to make the drop down disappear and show the continue button.

Any thoughts on the possibility of rotating a given advertisement ‘location’ periodically. Here’s what I mean. I have a single advertiser per day on my community. I would like to make that ad into the ‘Sponsor of the Day Advertiser’. So every day, I would like my sitewide ads (or ideally do so each different location) to rotate to a different ad. based on a time It could be hourly, daily, weekly, only on Sundays, etc. Currently, I have to go in manually and enable or disable the source advertisement. Not sure this will be a priority for most… 🤐

It would be great if there was a feature to rebuild posts after a word filter(s) was added. I know there are some plugins/apps to achieve this but something built in sounds like a no brainer for a complete word filter solution. Also, is there a template to use a word filter xml file? Or is this created when you have these on one site and then download?

I have one main forum where 90% of the new topics belong, and several more specific, lesser used forums for more advanced users. I wish I could set up the Start New Topic button on the main forums page to skip the forum chooser (which confuses most of our visitors anyway who end up posting in the wrong forum) and instead post directly in our main forum. It's easier for moderators to occasionally move the rare topics that don't belong in the main forum than to constantly move topics that are posted in the wrong forum back to the main forum.

Personally I see its future and its strength in its admin panel, its ease of use, the addition of plugins with a minimum of bugs or rapid correction in the event of a problem interaction between them. And especially in the core who are the members and exchange between them or in specific groups that it is something dedicated not external like for example word press with bbpress buddy press and plugins that never end. I hope that this post is not made to talk about the shortcomings it could have but rather how can IPS respond in the near future to our needs corresponding to the needs of today's Internet users? Thanks
