I think it would be a great addition if we could set top level sections (similar to the category container on forum) for clubs or a way to add additional filters to clubs other than the current filters (All clubs or My clubs)

Eg. (Gaming community)

Criminal Clubs -> crim club 1, crim club 2, crim club 3
Enforcement Clubs -> cop club 1, cop club 2, cop club 3

 

I was about to post that I thought we had that at some point, and lo and behold I find this thread. I am fairly confident there was an app or plugin that did that but I can't for the life of me remember which one. C'mon, someone has to remember...

Here's an option if you have pages:

You could use the menu app to create a pull-down list of club categories.  Click on the appropriate category and the member would be directed to a Page using the app above that could further classify the various clubs your site offers.  

Oooh, elegant option.
