Hi, we recieve a lot of Russian spam registrations at 99nicu.org, and I wanted to run the two-step validation for new registrations (1. email to reg members to validate and 2. administrator validation). However, despite working email server (SMTP), now emails are going out to new registrations, registrations just show up directly for admin validation. I tried to change to only email validation (first choice), but the admin only validation was still operative. So, when changing options on the screen shot, the actual method does not change. The email SMTP-service we use give all Green Lights for the step (postal.oderland.com) Any clues why this is not working…

For. years I have had our forum at aoai.org/forums set to manually approve all new forum users by me. But now the new users are automatically being banned, which never happened before. This seemed to have happened after I upgraded to the current forum software. I don't see where I can change this, and is very frustrating.

Trying to install the update from my location (not at the server location) and I get the following error: "There was an error downloading the files to your server" My hoster tells me his log is showing: Thu, 25 Jan 2024 08:55:18 +0000 Exception::0 Could not list the files in the zip #0 /home/rhocar/public_html/admin/upgrade/extract.php(643): Extractor->extract(0) #1 {main} We have downloaded the zip file and that file is definately present. I have another problem. If I have a public club in which I create a database for club moderators only, then anyone (including users who are not members of the club) can read the database. If I revoke the rights in the ACP in the database permissions, they can no longer access it, but they see it permanently under unread content in the activity feed.

Hi, we just had a user reported that this user experienced four times redirect or self redirect on the same URL, however there is a query string of "?usingEditor=1&csrfKey=01c9e6d56e554d83713fa4f4bd1d3f38" And the editor would not or could not send or submit a reply, I notice this in the editor (screenshot with red box) I could not reply, however when I removed that query string, the actual URL, I can submit reply. So what makes it self redirect with that query string?

As we tried our updates to v4.7.15 we got some errors with the database and that there are 'some' fixes required. And while trying to do the fixes with the web gui it broke our complete forum. Lesson learned, I will take my time for the updates, but now with the update v4.7.16 it seems like urgent to do the update and we still have the issue with the database and even with manually adding the mysql statements it seems not to fix the problem, as the messages are the same even if I do some of the queries. Hi, I think this guide is outdated as the OEmbed product no longer exists and is replaced OEmbed Read: https://developers.facebook.com/docs/features-reference/oembed-read/ I've set up the community with the App ID and App Secret yet still cannot get instagram embeds to show up. Do I need to submit the app for App Review? Even though I only just want standard access and it says "Ready to use" with standard access? Can someone help me figure out how to get this? Thanks!

I've been trying to post an image that readers can click and go to another site. I've tried several different ways and either the link doesn't work, or the image doesn't appear. First, can clickable images be posted on Invision sites and second, if they can be posted, HOW!? Keep in mind, I have absolutely NO idea what I'm doing and, if anyone chooses to help, I need it explained in the simplest way possible - LITERALLY the simplest, step-by-step instructions that even a small primate with a cognitive defect AND a traumatic brain injury would understand. I have a plugin that was purchased from the marketplace and the dev will not respond to repeated requests for the file since the marketplace closed. Question...is there a way to download the files from my server (hooka folder, index.hml and settings.php) for the plugin and make it into an xml that will work like the original xml file did? Thanks

I have a Pages database. It uses star rating (not reviews!). I have set sorting by rating in descending order: The sorting is weird, though: Item with 15x5 stars and 1x1 star. Item with 17x5 stars only. Item with 25x5 stars and 3x1 star. Item with 23x5 stars only. Item with 6x5 stars and 1x1 star. Item with 16x5 stars and 1x6 stars. Item with 7x7 stars and 7x7 stars. Does it make sense? Obviously, the item #4 should be placed at the very top, following by item #2. Should it not be sorted by average as total rating divided by number of votes? Or what is meant with Sort by Rating?

Hi Team I went to upgrade the website from 4.7.16 but the update failed through the AdminCP and it wants me to update via a manual download which i have never done via FTP. As teh update failed, the Website is down and i am stuck on the manual upgrade option when i log into the AdminCp. Is there a way to cancel the upgrade so i can get the website back up until i work out how to do it manually?

When I try returning to the first page of the topics list, I am redirected back to origin page (with an appended '?'). Selecting any other page works correctly, this occurs in all forums (that I've tried), and within the default theme too.
