  1. Yes. Unzip and then upload the contents of that unzipped folder. admin api applications datastore And so on. Let us know once you're successful. 🙂
  2. Hi @amd21, you need to download the entire software package as mentioned above. Client Area -> Manage this purchase -> Download Invision Community From the screenshot you posted, it looks to be correct, but you need to make sure the other files and folders are also uploaded. When running the installation/update script, you will be able to select which applications you would like to install. If you have installed them all, you can still disable or uninstall them entirely in your AdminCP.
  3. I completely understand the frustration. The Invision Community team do their absolute best when it comes to ensuring their Cloud is always up and running smoothly. It is pure coincidence that it had occurred at such a busy time for your community. The same can occur at any time on a Classic/self-hosted community, you just don't hear about it anywhere near as much of it here as they would be brought up with the host directly. It is a weekend at the moment but I'm sure a staff member will provide a more elaborate response soon. Keep an eye on the topic below as there are others experiencing the same issue.
  4. Hi @Max, I cannot give a definite answer to question 1, but question 2 looks to be resolved as per Stuart's post in the other topic discussing this very issue.
  5. Hi @Allen Bradford, as you have mentioned, it is the weekend so give them a bit of time to log in. Someone is bound to comment soon and I'm sure the Invision Community team are working on it in the background if it is a known issue. I do understand and am not ignoring the frustration. For the record, I am on Classic and haven't encountered any issues. Invision Community | Uptime.com The last known incident was recorded on 25 April, with two slight increases in response times yesterday.
  6. Hi @Myke Pro, you can read all about the latest developments by visiting the link below. 😉 Invision Community Insider - Invision Community
  7. And if you do accidentally install them, no stress. Just go into your AdminCP -> System -> Applications (under the heading `Site Features`) and you can disable or uninstall the applications you do not wish to use.
  8. I have always been around. 🥷 @Odiss, that emoji I just posted above doesn't work for me but I do know it's the ninja emoji. 😄 But thank you very much for noticing!
  9. Of course! Doing some quick searches, some versions of Windows 10 do not have the full emoji set, but upgrading to Windows 11 fixes it all in most instances.
  10. Hi @Odiss, This all comes down to the version of Microsoft Windows you are currently on. I am using a computer at the moment that has the exact same emojis missing in my emoji panel too. If you hover over the squares, it will tell you what emoji it is, and if you add it to a post then those that can view it will have it displaying correctly. It will just show up as a square on your end until your system can recognise that emoji. From memory, the fix for this should have been introduced in the 22H2 update on Windows 11, but don't quote me. You might be able to find more information from a quick Google search. It is fortunately not an issue with Invision Community. 🙂
  11. For the record, @Patham, there is no such thing as a silly question. Everyone has different abilities when it comes to forum software and the internet in general. The only way to learn is to ask as many questions as you can. I find myself asking questions performing certain functions purely because something I had to do when releasing one community, I didn't do until years later when I created another community. Glad you found a solution in the end though.
  12. Hi @Jac D, Glad you got this one sorted out and thanks for circling back to let us know. If you encounter any other issues, please don't hesitate to get back in touch with us.
  13. Hi @TraderZone.ps, Take a look through our Third-Party Services to see if someone can assist you. IPS4 Providers - Invision Community You can also have a look through the themes offered at IPSFocus to see if any of them tickle your fancy. Best of luck with your search!
  14. Hi @PBarton, It happens, but we're glad this is now resolved. Please let us know if you encounter any further issues.
  15. Hi @gfhfstg, It's disappointing to hear that a hosting service will not update to a supported version of PHP promptly. Anything before 8.0 is not supported any more, and 8.0 itself is only having security support for the next 8 months at the time of writing this post. If you want a seamless experience and avoid the hassle of the backend altogether, definitely consider our Cloud. There are plenty of articles about HostGator and their parent company at the moment. I would highly recommend reading up on them just for some background on why things like this are happening to their clients.
  16. Hi @Makke, Good to hear, and thanks for following up. Please let us know if you find any other issues.
  17. Hi @Tripp★, Thanks for following up and letting us know you managed to find the cause. If you encounter any other issues, please don't hesitate to let us know.
  18. Hi @Haim Rafael, I have moved your topic to the Community Support forum. You will have more luck getting some answers compared to the Community Managers' Lounge. 😉
  19. Closing this one off as it was addressed in your Help & Support topic.
  20. I'm glad you managed to get everything working in the end. Sorry I couldn't be of more assistance. For those experiencing the same or a similar issue, the fix can be found in the following topic.
  21. Thanks everyone for your help. Glad you're up and running now, @eliteone. If you have any issues with Invision Community, please don't hesitate to get in touch with us again.
  22. Welcome to this week's Invision Insight! The changelog has had a significant hit this week with bug fixes by the amazing dev team, and a special thanks to @Ehren for all the amazing UI changes! The majority may go unnoticed by the odd individual, but it has definitely made things look so much nicer. We have had a very productive week and ran a live preview of Live Topics right here on Invision Community! 🥳 More on that below. Live Topics In a nutshell, Live Topics is a hosted live chat and question and answer event that is converted into a forum topic upon completion. Check out the blog post below for more info! And if you were one of the lucky few to participate, the IPS Team came together to give a live preview of this new feature; the very first time Live Topics has been shown and used by our community. Check it out and give us your feedback. New Beta Version Invision Community 4.7.8 Beta 1 is here, bringing you an array of improvements for your communities! Upcoming Event A reminder on next month's March 2023 Release Chat. There are quite a few questions coming through already which is great to see everyone, keep it up! Changelog See you in the community and next week right here for another Invision Insight! I look forward to hearing from you all. Thank you everyone! 🦘
  23. Backups are a given any time you perform an upgrade. With regards to the PHP version, Invision Community will run with 8.0.28 and 8.1.16 at the moment, not 8.2.3. We usually advise on the minimum PHP version in our current release notes, just like we did for the 4.7.4 release. Updating PHP would definitely be on your host's side, yes.
  24. Hi @Aleksandr Timashov, I have escalated your request as a ticket to our team. We will be in touch with you shortly via email to have this sorted out for you prior to renewing your licence. If you have any other questions in the interim, please let us know.
