  1. The unarchive tasks shows that its not currently needed, so I guess the process is done: I tried to run it manually a few times, but there are no errors and the forums_archive_posts table is not changing its size at all. When I am opening the forums_archive_posts table in the phpmyadmin, it shows only 281 records all connected to the same topic with archive_topic_id = 2492. I have no idea what happend with the other 200k posts here.
  2. Hello, Due to a request of the former hosting provider of my board, I had to decrease the database size and therefore, I have chosen to move old posts to a seperate database. I've had some problems with it and had to be assisted by the Invision Community staff to complete this task. I've created a topic about it here: Fast forward to a couple of months later, I have moved the board to another server recently. I have decided to unarchive all posts and keep it all in the same database. I've turned the archiving process off and with CRON on the database size with forums_archive_posts decreased over time from over 400mb of data to a little over 12mb of data. The process seems to be over, I see no additional scheduled tasks in the forums ACP, but the archive database is not empty and theres still over 200k posts that are not accessible on my board. There should be around 630k posts on my board, but it shows 443k at the moment: I see forums showing wrong total topics numbers: That forum for example contains way more than just 9 posts: I can open way more than just 9 posts here, but many topics are throwing an error when I am trying to enter: Link to a topic thats showing that error: https://forum.wrestling.pl/topic/36611-sprzedam-grę-wwe-2k14/ I tried to rebuild the search index, it does show that theres around 630k posts on the board, but like you can see in the attatched screenshot, its reaching 100% with just like 20k posts that were rebuilded. I am struggling with this for the last few days and I hope you can help me solve these issues. I hope that I have described everything clearly. I have updated the acces information in the Client Area in case some additional help trough technical staff would be necessary. Greetings
  3. I have updated the access details in the client area.
  4. After your support finally unarchived all my posts from the forums_archive_posts table (which took more than three weeks to complete), I have started the process of archiving all the content on my board to a seperate database. I filled in all the details in the ACP and of course - nothing happens. I started the process two days ago, the phpmyadmin from the new database for the archived content looks like this: The whole table has exactly 4.6 mb for the last two days and nothing is happening. Theres clearly a big issue with the archiving and unarchiving process on Invision Community. How can it be fixed?
  5. I clicked it: I see the same amount of items and the same weight of the forums_archive_posts table. Tons of topics on my board are still unaccesible due to the errors from the screenshots above. Like I said in the very first post of this topic - I need to urgently decrease the size of my database (otherwise my whole board will soon go offline). I have created this topic a week ago. I have provided the necessary credentials in the client area. I did everything asked in this topic, but it seems like no one really looked into the issues I have described here. Could anyone help me with unarchiving all the content from the forums_archive_posts table and look into the errors I have posted here earlier? I am tired of asking the same questions. Its not a freeware script.
  6. Thank you for reaching out. I have updated the access information details in the client area.
  7. I have switched it to Cron in the ACP, added the command on the server and changed the permissions to the task.php file. I have done that yesterday and nothing had changed - the forums_archive_posts table is exactly the same size as it was three days ago before I have chosen the option to unarchive it all, tons of topics on my board are unaccesible due to the error I have pasted already twice in this topic and some seem to be unarchived which is really weird as the size of the archived posts table in the database hadn't decreased by even 1KB... Help...
  8. I have deselected all the forums that were previously archived. I have chosen the option to unarchive it all. I switched the archiving off. I did not set any cron tasks (no one in this topic had mentioned it earlier). Not sure what kind of command should I use to get it done.
  9. Could you provide proper instuctions in how to unarchive the content and help with the errors I am getting trough this process? After trying to unarchive it in the ACP based on the little feedback I have recieved in this topic, a lot of the previously archived content is unaccesible with errors like this: And some of the previously archived posts seem to not be archived anymore (aren't locked anymore). At the same time the table with forums_archive_posts has exactly the size as before I have taken any action. The hosting company cannot help me with sorting these issues out.
  10. I have done that yesterday and I still dont see any changes in the size of the posts tables: The forums_archive_posts table has the same size as earlier. Seems like nothing is happening in the background. When browsing trough the topics that were previously set as archived, I see that some of those aren't archived anymore (they are not locked) and others cannot be open due to an error: Whats going on? Again, your technical staff had written this in the ACP: It seems like some of these posts will have to be manually moved to the other storage. Where can I find proper help or guide from Invision Community technical staff?
  11. How can I unarchive the already archived content? In the ACP, I have deselected all the forums that were already archived and nothing happens. There are no processes going in the background. According to this statement in the ACP: There should be another way.
  12. Hello, I need to urgently decrease the size of my boards database and therefore, I would like to archive most of the boards content (all the topics/posts/etc up to a year ago) to a seperate database. The thing is that I have already archived some of my boards forums into a seperate table of the same database and I am not sure how to move those into a seperate database dedicated only for archived content. In the ACP I see: In the phpmyadmin it currently looks like this: I have created an another database and filled in all the info in the ACP and arranged the settings to archive anything written on the board up to a year ago, but it seems like these new rules will affect only the posts from "forums_posts" table. How can I include the already archived content from "forums_archive_posts" into the newly created database? Any help will be greatly appreciated! Greetings

When using the "Truncate main topic post?" it cuts the post very strictly, sometimes in the middle of the word. Is it possible to add something like: "(...) click to read more" or something? Overall a great app. Thanks. ;)
  14. Hello, My IPS board is attatched to a modest self written CMS for news and articles. I am looking for a solution where I could fully integrate the forums and CMS with the possibilities of having the same user account on both, various blocks with registered users, chatbox, newest posts/topics, etc. I am strongly considering WordPress due to its massive widget library and it being for free. I would also like to give Invision's Pages a try due to hopefully very smooth integration between the two. Few questions about Pages: I have the Forums license at the moment. Are you offering free trials for Pages? I would like to try it out on my live board, not seperate install. My board is licensed to a "forum.domain.com" and the current CMS is operating at "domain.com". If I would decide to add Pages to my subscription, can I use it within the same Invision account on a "domain.com" instead of "forum.domain.com/pages" for example? Does Pages or Invision in general have to possibility to automatically share the newly published articles to various social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter, etc?
  15. Hello, I see loads of logs like this in the ACP: The datastore folder on the server has access set to 777. I am using the newest IPS version and Data Storage method is set to "File System". Changing it to MySQL Database caused additional errors: How to fix this?
