How app renewals / paid $$ will be tracked? I don't have track of what applications, i have purchased over the year. I really had liked the idea of install apps through ACP (marketplace). Easy, less worry and headache. Can I please get the list of paid apps? So on next renewal, I can talk to app owner? Thanks. I can't even download files today. Can you please tell me how can i download the files/apps which I paid for? I would like to save the local copy. - Thanks.

Ok thanks for quick response. Just a general question: How it impacts IPS team? From business standpoint Apple store makes 30% appx. I am guessing, to support developers through IPS Marketplace, IPS was charging fees on each transaction. Now does that mean, no marketplace = less revenue OR since 70% sales decline, it wasn't worth the hassle for IPS? Does this mean, customers will be charged different way, to make up for this revenue loss? Just curious. Is their anyway, I can have the 'local copy' of addons which I purchased through IPS? Currently it's all through ACP -Marketplace. I never asked so far because never needed it but with marketplace shutting down, I might need in future.

So for normal users like me, can i still do 'application upgrade' check? OR That process is changing as well? If i understand - rather then purchasing renewals from IPS, i will be purchasing through developer site? So 10 developers, 10 sits for renewals? I am fine with it, as long as I can use add-ons on IPS forum. Current IPS functionality doesn't cover all my needs and for us, stand alone forum would be non usable without developers fixing the gap/bridge.

Hey.. Q: For spam management, does IPS support, this one? It's from Cloudflare.

It would be nice to have some option to delete spam members in bulk. This one by one is pain! More like once user profile is selected as spam, auto delete post and profile after XX days.

This is great news... u have no idea how much I have asked to Michael about adding subscriptions. It's mess right now for our users... their profiles don't reflect correct count because subscription is through Store and regular donation through Michael donation app as it provides yearly goals. For any donation based community, yearly donation goals are critical. OK we will await but the notes from 3rd party developers that their majority addons wouldn't work got me concerned because their app is what IPS makes good. I am already grumpy and will remain as such because service desk is going away and it's headache for me to integrate 3rd party apps with SSO. I wish you can publish the article with some alternatives and migration steps, so folks like me can follow. Right now it's going to be trial and error. Thanks!

Again this bogus statistics gameplay. Jeez .....u had used same logic for removing support desk/ticket which everyone said, it's working fine. Anything that you want to remove, use the stats card. Without plugins, I wouldn't use IPS because IPS Nexus/Commerce can't even do basic donation tracking which every community needs. We love IPS and many are here since V2,V3 or even before versions... but with V5, it feels you want to go pro-cloud, make it standard for all and remove features which you think are not required without having 2nd thought for what your customer needs. Why you need to push us to XF man..... I am not touching vB for sure.. so only choice XF for me.

Is it possible to add support for account de-activation i.e. user can de-activate account and no notification gets sent. If user gets interested again, they can re-activate account.

That's not true, trust me. I think AlexWebsite note is right on the point i.e. monetizing. I have seen much larger groups for Trading and other things. I used to think as well i.e. Discord is popular in just gaming but when I noticed other groups focused on Infra/Ops Monitoring, Trading, OpenAI etc. my perspective has changed.

You are not the only one. A lot of people are in the same boat. I have a feeling, eventually, folks will move to Discord or FB pages because both are complete free of cost. For those who can manage with current changes/cost, will continue to do so but I see slim chances, that initial forums will pay 90$/month i.e. 1K/year appx while they are just starting their forum. So discord would be massively popular down the road i.e. much more then now, unless XF or VB or phpBB alike, will fill in that spot. I haven't checked other forums in last decade. I would say 70-90% gaming communities have now discord available and it's picking up game by introducing threads, Q&A, etc. features. My only gripe is I don't own the data and if tomorrow Discord discontinues their service, all the valuable conversations, data, etc. is gone. It will be interesting times down the road for sure with IPS going Pro Cloud vs Discord, FB, etc. complete free of cost.

Thanks @Jordan Miller for sharing update. Changes look better then before. I agree with @AlexWebsites idea.. and if possible and option with multi-select - so users can search both Pages and Forum together OR forum and downloads, etc.
