  1. Currently, our site is running an older plug-in that adds a number to each post in a thread. This is a vital feature in a forum that has long threads. But I'd rather not have extra plug-ins installed at this point. Has IPS finally gotten this feature added itself?
  2. Would this grant the ability to remove all following from all members in a certain group? We have a very old community, and a number of members are now in an "inactive" group. We would like to be able to remove all following settings from all members in that group. Would this allow that? Thanks!
  3. Perfect! Thanks so much to both of you for all this help!
  4. Thanks so much! I've almost got this figured out. The guide is perfect. One more question here -- I'm experimenting with this on one of the Admin accounts. I've got the field showing, and the link to the appropriate thread is there and working: Is there a way, though, to edit that to show a hyperlink, rather than the whole lengthy URL? I'm just thinking simple -- after the "Feedback:" <a href="{threadURL}">Link</a> Is that possible? Currently, I have the Field Type on URL, and the default formatting option.
  5. Thanks so much for your advice. I will send that to my guy.
  6. Yes, I've got that up. But I can't find where to add a new field -- and it looks like the original screencap is missing. Thanks so much for your help, because I think this will be exactly what I'm looking for.
  7. Got this response back. Does this look correct? Thanks so much! Here is a screenshot of the dmarc and SPF setup in cloud flare:
  8. Thank you! I will double-check that. I know you had mentioned it, and I did mention it to him to and showed what you said. But he didn't exactly mention that in this follow-up response. I will get an answer. Thanks!
  9. Hi, again! Following up on this -- and I'm not the server guy here. I have a guy who handles this and have showed him everything posted here. He says he did everything suggested. We ran the tests, and still the same problems happening. I wrote again to double-check that all was done, and this is the response I've gotten back. Does this seem like everything that should have fixed this issue? Thanks again for all the help.
  10. That looks like it might be perfect. However, the example/directions are missing from the first response showing which field was changed. Where do I get to that option? Thanks so much!
  11. We have a section of our forum where members are allowed to leave feedback for each other. Each member with feedback has one thread that is for all feedback replies. I've seen forums with a similar set-up using ProBoards software, and they are able to add a link in the area below any member's avatar who has a feedback thread. This links right to the feedback thread and saves members having to locate it themselves. Here is what it looks like in ProBoards (red arrow pointing at the link): Currently, this is what the same area in our Invision community looks like: Is there a way to add a link, maybe under the "Location" or something? Thanks in advance!
  12. Thanks for this! I try to stay on top of releases, but sometimes they slip past me. 🙂 This looks like something I'll definitely look into.
  13. Thanks so much! Good to know, and I've found a couple options in the Marketplace that may suit for the chat feature. I believe they are going to be contacting the sales team shortly, now that they've got an idea of what they're looking at.
  14. Another question here on behalf of a friend who is getting ready to add an IPS community to their site. They've asked me a few questions, and this is something that we've never needed in our community, so I'm not sure of an answer. 1) Does Invision offer any options for hosting video meetings -- anything that would serve as an alternative to running meetings in ZOOM Pro? 2) Is there a way to have a chat feature in the community? Thanks in advance!
  15. Thank you for this! Exactly what I was looking for. Great feature, and I hope this will work for them. Definitely sending this right away. Thanks again!
  16. I'm in the process of recommending Invision to a friend. They're wanting to add a forum to their existing site, and I think this is exactly what they need. Quick question, and I've tried searching but am not sure of the terms. As it stands now, the website is a large collecting database that requires a user to have a username, e-mail address and password for their account to access the database. The Invision community would be added in a subfolder to the existing site as another feature to work with the database. Is it possible to create automatic accounts in the Invision Community that would match and/or link to the accounts on the current site? Sorry if that's confusing, but this is just something we're throwing around as we discuss the attributes of IPS for this situation. Thanks in advance!
  17. Thank you so much for this help. I know I've been frustrated with this, and I appreciate you guys sticking with me. This is not my forte. I've got a server guy, and he's started on everything you said. Hopefully, that will do the trick. I've marked this solved and will report back -- one way or another -- just to let everyone know how it goes. Again, thank you for your patience.
  18. Okay. Looking forward to hearing something. This is a definitely problem, and it has been two weeks since you asked a developer to look at this. It is not unreasonable for us to be wondering when some kind of help will be posted.
  19. I have heard nothing regarding this issue. I am the server manager and need to be included in the correspondence aws Bob is out of the country.
  20. Thank you so much! Appreciate the help.
  21. So, I should delete the current request -- and this won't be an option again? The one sitting in there now actually came on 24 hours or more after I disabled as shown above, so I was assuming it didn't work. I'll go ahead and delete the request in there, if you don't need to see it again.
  22. Hi! My slip-up there. Sorry about that. It's all been updated, so you should be good to go. Thanks so much for the help.
  23. Sure. Member Sundance72 is currently in the list having requested deletion. I won't remove it. I've logged into a regular member account to see if I can find out where they are doing this, but I can't find it. Where would that option be as a user?
  24. Hi Nodle, Thank you for your input. The problem has been present since October of Last year. We have been testing to make it easy for Invision to replicate the issue within specific forums and threads to show that email is being received at a gmail account for some functions but other specific function notifications are not being received at a gmail account. We really believe that there was an issue with the software update installed in october.
  25. I did as the above post showed: But a member was able to request account deletion again today. Should I change another setting, or is the feature not working?
