This screenshot is from IPS4. In IPS5 I don't see the "custom location" option... How should we get this?

Yes I'm using that method though I'd like to "centralize" all ads in Advertisment. Than using the shortcut method: {advertishment="publi_entre_parrafos}. So I can change any code there and apply to several hooks or themes.

Also, I use those shortcuts in Pages templates.....

If I don't update my ads, I still can use that shortcut. So it still works. Could we recover that option?

On the other hand, is there a way to create new hook locations?

Instead of custom locations, version 5 has an advertisement widget. You can create the widget and drop it anywhere you need.

If you need a shortcode, you can use {block="my_block_key"}
