Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications By Matt November 11, 2024
PeugeotClubCZ Posted yesterday at 09:56 AM Posted yesterday at 09:56 AM Hi, I want to solve a long term problem in our forum. We have problem with uploaded images, that are rotated only by the exif information. By uploading the image, forum sotware does not read the exif informartion to rotate them and the rotation is wrong. The result you can se here on our testing topic https://www.peugeot-club.com/topic/105090-test-vlozeni-obrazku/?page=11#comment-2150978 Can someone help? Thanks

Marc Posted yesterday at 11:16 AM Posted yesterday at 11:16 AM You would need to ensure you have the EXIF PHP extension loaded. Also please test these on our test forum to ensure its not the images. 13 minutes ago, SeNioR- said: Same here: https://invisioncommunity.com/forums/topic/479702-mobile-photos-are-sideways/ We are running the same invision version as the user there. The only difference is the environment there
PeugeotClubCZ Posted yesterday at 11:44 AM Author Posted yesterday at 11:44 AM @Marc If I upload this image to the testing forum here it is normal rotation If I post it on our forum it is rotated 😞 How can I test if the EXIF PHP extension is loaded?
Marc Posted yesterday at 11:48 AM Posted yesterday at 11:48 AM You would need to speak to your hosting company on this. We can tell you if its loaded, but not if its working, using the requirement checker here
PeugeotClubCZ Posted yesterday at 01:28 PM Author Posted yesterday at 01:28 PM (edited) I have done the check, but seems to be OK https://www.peugeot-club.com/ips4.php Edited yesterday at 01:29 PM by PeugeotClubCZ
Marc Posted yesterday at 02:00 PM Posted yesterday at 02:00 PM This being the case, you would need to contact your hosting company on the issue. As you can see from here, the software rotates correctly when reading the EXIF data, so it can only really be the EXIF part of things
