Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications By Matt November 11, 2024
Blad Posted Friday at 01:13 PM Posted Friday at 01:13 PM Hello, I tried to change the website/admin access but couldn't figure out how to do it. Also, could you please let me know where I can find all the coding files? Thank you!
Jim M Posted Friday at 01:54 PM Posted Friday at 01:54 PM Sorry, could you please clarify what you are asking for assistance on? Regarding web/admin access, are you looking for a password reset? Changing the custom admin directory? Our software files can be found in the Client Area -> Manage Purchases -> click your license -> Download Invision Community. If you mean on your server, that would be something you or your hosting provider would know.

You can find more info below though: 8 hours ago, Blad said: would like to find oldest files , i mean downgrade to the oldest version We only provide the latest release of supported versions. It would not be recommended or supported to run anything else as they will have bugs and security issues. Miss_B 1

Because the oldest version would mean the very first Ipb release 😅 Did you make a backup of both, the database and forum files? If you haven't, you can contact your host and ask them if they have any backups of your site running on the previous version. A lot of hosts make regular backups and you might luck out. That being said, I would also caution you, if I may, on using older versions of the forum for all the reasons mentioned above by @Jim M.
Marc Posted 16 hours ago Posted 16 hours ago Just to add to the above, if you are trying to ensure your admin area is secure, we advise on using 2 factor authentication to do this. You can see a guide on this here Jim M 1
