Code Name Jessica Posted 12 hours ago Posted 12 hours ago Hey all, Long time follower, first time poster. I just recently purchased a Classic license, mostly because I am a control freak, and I like to make a lot of fun little changes on the server. Anyways... Back to the Topic's title. (Oh yeah, and Merry Chrysler to all ya's) I am building a community, this community will have multiple Categories, which will including Programming, System Administrative, etc. My question is, if someone makes a post in one of the forums, for example: Pay: Need a CSS FizzBuzz Code I would like to request offers for someone to build me a CSS FizzBuzz script. Is there the ability for multiple people to bid on that request and have the ability to pay the developer by the client. Even if the bidding part is too much to ask, even having someone willing to take on the request and get paid. Obviously, there will be fees associated with it for the Community. Does IPS have anything like that, or has anyone put out any Plugins for something like this?
Solution Jim M Posted 12 hours ago Solution Posted 12 hours ago This is not currently a feature to create a bidding system or payment user to user. This would require a customized application
Code Name Jessica Posted 11 hours ago Author Posted 11 hours ago Thank you, I will be building a plugin maybe... Just need to learn how to do that...
Code Name Jessica Posted 11 hours ago Author Posted 11 hours ago My question now will be if, I install Invision in a docker on my local PC to build this plugin, is that allowed, or do I need to purchase a dev license?
Hatsu Posted 11 hours ago Posted 11 hours ago With version 5 of the Suite it won't be possible anymore to create plugins. You have to create an application instead. Also, version 4 applications won't run in version 5. So I would ask myself do I create it for version 4 or do I go for version 5 instead. https://invisioncommunity.com/developers/devblog/blog/

That would have been frustrating. Maybe I will install the latest v5 Beta 9 in my dev and be ahead of the curve, I think I saw that in my Client Area. Ok, need to do some thinking on this. I am not 100% sure I am ready for v5 on my prod build just yet. Great information guys.
