Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications Matt November 11, 2024Nov 11
Posted November 18, 2024Nov 18 This is for player auctions in our esports leagues. Thread goes up with a player. People blindly bid till close time. Thread closes and the bids reveal the winner. Is this still possible on invision cloud? To put up an opening post, set replies to hidden then to reveal them later on?
November 18, 2024Nov 18 Solution It's possible with the "Post Approval" feature, but a moderator would have to enable it in each topic.

It seems admin/mod posts are visible also so I’m guessing there’s a setting in admincp I can edit for this? My admins can’t miss out on player auctions haha

I would likely just suggest to have your staff set their replies as hidden.

So there is no way to set a group eg “Auction Admin” to be the only admin group for that forum section?

No. Administrators can administrate all forums if you give permission to manage forums. Its worth noting, that we are talkign about the admin CP side here, as thats what admin permissions are. If you are looking at front end, then you are referring to moderator permissions (yes, even for someone who is admin). For that, you can designate only set forums that they can manage if needed. Take a look at the moderator permissions here
