Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications Matt November 11, 2024Nov 11
Posted October 15, 2024Oct 15 Just watching the video that you put up about this and you showed how you could move the breadcrumb, logo etc. I don't have this option on my v5 beta. Has it been taken off?
October 16, 2024Oct 16 Hi @alphamale, I assume you're talking about where Ehren discusses customising the header in this topic. On your community, click your avatar and display name in the top right-hand corner -> Theme Editor -> Header -> Desktop header You can click and drag to reorder header elements. Is this what you were looking for?

Just a thought: make sure that in your theme editor, your page layout is set to Classic? Then follow Gary's instructions. If your page layout is set to Side Panel then you won't see the header customizer.
October 16, 2024Oct 16 Author Yeah my bad. Had the sidebar on lol. Any idea on how to change the background colour on just the forum categories? So the categories stand out from the forums in that category. All white just not my cup of tea.
October 17, 2024Oct 17 Im not sure what you mean there. Could you perhaps screenshot and can see if I can point you in the right direction. It may be you need to target the CSS for something specific
October 17, 2024Oct 17 Author Yeah so this area, is it possible to theme it so the background colour is the same as that header. Basically have the categories with a background colour to separate them from the forums visually. Edited October 17, 2024Oct 17 by alphamale
October 17, 2024Oct 17 Should be able to target that with this I think .ipsBox__header{ background-color:red; }
October 17, 2024Oct 17 Author Appreciate the help but... Where would I add this and would it just target categories? Also instead of putting red could I put the hsl so it's an exact match?
October 17, 2024Oct 17 It looks like it would only target the category headers, but Im not a designer, so you would have to test. You would add it to the CSS section of the theme editor. Of course you would change the color to what you need. In all honesty though, if you are asking the question there, you may struggle with CSS directly yourself. It may be worth getting someone to assist you
October 17, 2024Oct 17 Author Cheers. Wil have a go later and if I break it I'll probably ask somebody who does it. Matt
