Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications By Matt Monday at 02:04 PM
AlessandroTax Posted June 30 Posted June 30 Hello community, I was upgrading to version 4.7.17 but I got stuck here. While extracting the files, everything stops and gives back the message "File not found": Anyone able to help?
Jim M Posted June 30 Posted June 30 That’s coming from the server rather than the software. Would ensure you do not have any custom redirects or rewrite rules which may be causing issues with the software. You may also wish to perform a manual upgrade.
AlessandroTax Posted June 30 Author Posted June 30 It seems that now I am stuck in the upgrading process... there is any way to go back and upgrade later?

AlessandroTax Posted June 30 Author Posted June 30 What about this error? Which is the correct permission code? It is set to 604 right now
Jim M Posted June 30 Posted June 30 604 is likely not valid. Most are 644 but you can contact your hosting provider for further assistance.
AlessandroTax Posted June 30 Author Posted June 30 I changed to 644 but I am still getting the error. Any suggestion? My hosting provider wont help with this unfortunatelly
Randy Calvert Posted June 30 Posted June 30 I would recommend looking at the permissions of other files comparing them. They should essentially match. Once you set them, I would check again to make sure the change actually took effect. Ultimately file ownership and permissions is a server level function. IPS is a software package, it can't control your server or set these things for you. If your host won't assist with server level issues, I would highly recommend a new host.
teraßyte Posted June 30 Posted June 30 (edited) Rather than checking the permissions, look at the text at the top. It's saying that some files might not have been uploaded correctly. The upgrader checks if the files are all for the version you're upgrading to before letting you start the process. It's possible your FTP program didn't properly upload/overwrite some files.
