Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications By Matt Monday at 02:04 PM
Square Wheels Posted December 21, 2023 Posted December 21, 2023 If I edit an item in Menu Manager, it "greys" it out and won't publish it. Also, if I add a new item, I need to publish it before I can move it around. Hopefully, you can see both items in this video. https://www.awesomescreenshot.com/video/23484755?key=b9884d81460a76b2f30fdb18f185b61f
Marc Posted December 21, 2023 Posted December 21, 2023 Could I ask first of all if you have tested this with all 3rd party items disabled?

Marc Posted December 21, 2023 Posted December 21, 2023 Are you ok for me to add things for a min on your system?

Marc Posted December 21, 2023 Posted December 21, 2023 Do you perhaps have any plugins running on your browser? Im unable to replicate this even on your system

OK, I did that in Chrome, went back to Men Manager and FAQ is missing in the ACP, but present on the site. I had previously made a simple edit to it, clicked Save, but didn't publish it. It seems to be worse now. It seems to be a quirk on my end somehow if you cannot reproduce it. Thanks for trying.
Jim M Posted December 21, 2023 Posted December 21, 2023 May be worth trying in incognito mode in Chrome to see if there is something else causing your issue.

Good idea, I just tried that. Well, I was hopeful for a second. 🙂 I created a new item and was able to drag it to it's correct spot. I then published and all was well. I opened that item, saved it, and it's greyed out again.
Jim M Posted December 21, 2023 Posted December 21, 2023 Unfortunately, just like Marc, I am not having issues adding or removing items. That is very odd that you're having this. Have you tried under the admin account you've provided us?

I'm afraid, for security reasons, we cannot provide a password which is given to us. However, you can reset the password and then re-apply it to the Client Area Access Details.

I logged in as that user, in an incognito Chrome browser, with all data cleared, and all extensions turned off, and still have the same issue.
Square Wheels Posted October 21 Author Posted October 21 Bringing this back up. I had not tried accessing the menu on a mobile device. I have a brand new phone since I've posted this, and as you can see, there is something going on with my menu. Here is the mobile view. Here is what it looks like in the ACP. Here is a video from Edge. I thought it was fine on the desktop view, but if you click it, you can see the multiple entries. https://www.awesomescreenshot.com/video/32788379?key=56bfd9f0707482393c97d0f1e52478a0 I believe this is the menu table, but I could be wrong. Thoughts on how I can fix this? Thanks
Solution Jim M Posted October 21 Solution Posted October 21 You have a dropdown inside your menu there, you'll need to click into it to edit it or straight remove the drop-down. You have added this multiple times inside it looks like as you see here:
Square Wheels Posted October 21 Author Posted October 21 Wow, that was fast. 🙂 Thank you, I think it's fixed now, I deleted all those extra entries. Jim M 1
