Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications By Matt Monday at 02:04 PM
LiveG Posted September 20, 2023 Posted September 20, 2023 Hello, Gmail permanently blocks me from sending mail out from my forum (sending hundreds of emails daily), and Sendgrid is not an option for me to integrate. What is the best and quick way to solve this issue? Thank you!
Jim M Posted September 20, 2023 Posted September 20, 2023 Google has some pretty specific items which you need to do to pass their email send requirements. (I'm sure a client of theirs can provide those or help you do it). Apart from that, there are countless SMTP email services out there if you do not want to use Gmail or SendGrid. It is worth mentioning that if you switch to our Cloud, you could use our Cloud email service and not have to worry about this 🙂 .
LiveG Posted November 26, 2023 Author Posted November 26, 2023 Hi, From your experiences, What are the recommended SMTP email services (not Gmail or SendGrid)?
Randy Calvert Posted November 26, 2023 Posted November 26, 2023 IPS itself does not recommend SMTP providers. However based on personal experience, AWS SES was very reliable and reasonably priced for me. You do have to deal with their process for getting out of sandbox mode which can be a bit complex sometimes but once that is done… it works very well and is reliable. I never had deliverability issues.

Marc Posted November 27, 2023 Posted November 27, 2023 Moved this to self hosted questions for you. We are unable to advise you on what SMTP service you should use unfortunately, but Im sure there are plenty who will have suggestions for you 🙂
