leda88 Posted March 29, 2023 Posted March 29, 2023 I have a major issue with spam, as numerous spammers use the "About Me" section in profile fields to add spammy URLs. Is there a way to disable this feature for new users?
Solution Adriano Faria Posted March 29, 2023 Solution Posted March 29, 2023 This post was recognized by Marc! Adriano Faria was awarded the badge 'Helpful' and 5 points. Go to ACP -> Members -> Profiles Fields and disable it there. EDIT: I don’t think you can disable it; only remove it. You can disable it per group with a 3rd-party resource: SeNioR- 1
Ocean West Posted March 29, 2023 Posted March 29, 2023 lol, I leave mine on I am instantly able to see they are spammers and then ban them no real user seems to ever fill out their profile to such completeness. Marc 1

Ocean West Posted March 30, 2023 Posted March 30, 2023 we could probably pass the about page thru GPT to get a rank if it is boilerplate sweatshop spammers its very consistent especially the URLs that resolve to India.
