We've had this happen from time to time - 2 over the last few hours:

 

Every setting I have is turned to a state where they can't do this so unsure why it is happening? Can anyone help please?

You would think this is the setting that matters but its always Disabled

 

Have you checked the forum's permissions?

@GazzaGarratt this is forum permissions. You are giving a permission to guest to be able to create topics on some/all the forums you have.

Thanks @Nathan Explosion and @Afrodude, I thought I checked everything! Clearly somehow one of the specific forums had this clicked on but no idea how. Appreciate the quick response...and now for me to check all the others too in case they have it too 😅

If you are thinking of going one-by-one then there is a quicker way - go to your group listing, click the permissions icon for Guests.

No, it was definitely the permissions as i've just changed them 🙂
