Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications Matt November 11, 2024Nov 11
Posted November 18, 20222 yr Hi All. Hope all very well. I contacted my hosting provider to upgrade from PHP 7.4 to 8. The forum breaks with this error: Hello, It appears your theme is not compatible with PHP 8+ ===== Fatal error: Unparenthesized `a ? b : c ? d : e` is not supported. Use either `(a ? b : c) ? d : e` or `a ? b : (c ? d : e)` in /home/powerfo/public_html/system/Theme/Theme.php(885) : eval()'d code on line 2016 ===== I am running the stock theme and not 3rd party plugins or applications. Very much hoping for help. Thanks all. Sincerely Jay

Sincerely Jay In that case, most likely one of the custom plugins/apps is causing this. Try to disable them one at a time till you find the culprit. Can you check the logs in your Admin Panel and post here the most recent error messages?
November 18, 20222 yr Author I have a few custom 3rd party plugins installed but all disabled. Would it help if I were to delete them? Thanks again, Jay
November 18, 20222 yr If they are disabled then I don't think that removing them is necessary. But if you do remove them, make sure to make a backup of the database tables that they have added, in case you would like to use them again later. What about the logs in your Admin Panel? Are there any error messages logged in there recently? What version of Ipb are you using btw? Edited November 18, 20222 yr by Miss_B

November 18, 20222 yr I have managed to get in there now, and would suggest updating your site to the latest release. You are currently on an earlier 4.7 release, which will have had many bug fixes since
