Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications By Matt Monday at 02:04 PM
Veriada Posted November 3, 2022 Posted November 3, 2022 Hello, after an upgrade to 4.7.4 it is impossible to close a topic when moderator does not have permission to send/manage alerts. An empty pop-up window is displayed, and after clicking the Save button, it redirects to an empty page with topic breadcramps. The only way to fix this is to allow moderators to manage user alerts, but this is against our community rules. SeNioR- 1
Jim M Posted November 3, 2022 Posted November 3, 2022 Please switch to an unmodified theme and test again. Please also disable all third party applications/plugins if you're still having issues.
Veriada Posted November 3, 2022 Author Posted November 3, 2022 All plugins is disabled and the default theme is selected, the same result
Jim M Posted November 3, 2022 Posted November 3, 2022 We did just release an alert which was plaguing some users with alerts. Could you please apply the latest patch in ACP -> Support?
Veriada Posted November 3, 2022 Author Posted November 3, 2022 (edited) Hm, I have no new alerts or buttons on Support page. "Check for Updates" button on Applications page also has no effect. Clear System Caches too... Edited November 3, 2022 by Veriada
Jim M Posted November 3, 2022 Posted November 3, 2022 We would need to look further into this for you, however the access details on file appear to be incorrect or missing. Could you please update these details by visiting your client area, selecting the relevant purchase, then clicking "Review/Update Access Information" under the "Stored Access Information" section. We look forward to further assisting you.
Jim M Posted November 3, 2022 Posted November 3, 2022 Please disable two factor authentication for our account as there may be many technicians who require assistance to help, it is not possible for us to perform this. If you wish to use Security questions, please provide us the answers in the Notes area of the access details section in the Client Area.
Veriada Posted November 3, 2022 Author Posted November 3, 2022 2fa disabled, there are no Security questions
Jim M Posted November 3, 2022 Posted November 3, 2022 Thank you. Please ensure that you're using a language pack which is compatible with the latest release. I am having no problem having the lock popup appear on your community.
Veriada Posted November 3, 2022 Author Posted November 3, 2022 Lock popup works perfectly fine when user who trying to close topic has Manage user alerts permission. But without that permission the popup is empty. For the screenshot and testing purposes I used default English (US) language pack.
Solution Daniel F Posted November 3, 2022 Solution Posted November 3, 2022 Thanks, I have fixed this for an upcoming release. DamonT and Jim M 2
