Hi all!

My community and admin pages are giving an Error 500 after an upgrade broke part way through ('SQL server has gone away' for some reason).

Any tips on how to recover the upgrade / restart?

Sorry, you will need to reach out to your hosting provider or server administrator in resolving the issues here. If you're getting "MySQL server has gone away" error message, something is preventing the software from executing against your database which is not an error you should ignore.

Hi @Jim M - I have confirmed I can connect to the SQL etc. OK now, the question is how I get the site back to life so I can re-attempt the upgrade. I can do a restore, but I would rather not unless I have to!

If you have resolved the mysql issue, then you can upload a fresh set of files, and continue the upgrade from /admin/upgrade 

I did a restore and re-did the upgrade in the end.
