If we have a cloud account - and wish to move - can we get a backup easily ?

If so how is this done ? ftp ? file share ?

And also as it looks like all images and such like are on amazon s3 rather than in the dB - how do we get these in the backup ? ie a full backup of everything ?

Yes, we would provide you with a backup of your data and attachments. A self-hosted license would be required to restore the software though on your server.

I said move - sorry meant for a test site on self hosted license

Whether it's a test site or otherwise, what my colleague states there is correct. You would need a self hosted license in order to restore the software to your own server. A backup would contain only your own custom data (attachments etc, and your database). These can be obtained on request from support via your client area

You would need to submit a ticket from the package owner and we would provide you a link to download the files.
