Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications Matt November 11, 2024Nov 11
Posted September 27, 20213 yr Recently videos, including YouTube videos, starting autoplaying for some members. Is there a way to stop that? I don't seen a setting for it on embedding.
September 30, 20213 yr Community Expert If you paste the video URL ( https://youtu.be/yfxDI14WUaQ ), it won't auto start. If you post the embed URL, there's a parameter to auto start, exemple: Quote <iframe width="763" height="429" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/yfxDI14WUaQ" title="YouTube video player" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe> Not sure if this is the case or how you're posting.

A couple of people said this is happening. Could it be an iPhone thing? I don't have access to one.

October 1, 20213 yr Community Expert On asking internally, we are not doing anything specific here relating to the auto play of video. It also seems this is only happening since updating iOS. So unfortunately, it would seem its an iOS issue here, rather than one with the software.
October 1, 20213 yr Author Thank you both, I'll let people on my site know. We post many videos, one person woke their wife early in the morning while viewing the site. 🙂
