Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications By Matt Monday at 02:04 PM
AlexWright Posted June 15, 2019 Posted June 15, 2019 Is it possible to automatically include content with Tags in a search? Is this a setting I missed somewhere? Users are confused that searching for a Tag does not find the tags, because Tag search is an "Advanced" search option. For instance, if I search "Dragon", content tagged Dragon does not come up. I have to go to the "more search options" then "search by tag" and then "dragon" there to get content tagged "dragon" to show up. Is there an easier way to do this? OptimusBain 1
AlexWright Posted June 20, 2019 Author Posted June 20, 2019 Bumping this. Users are confused because when they perform a search, tags aren't being included in the search even if it matches the word. They don't realize the "search tags" option on the advanced search is the way to do that. I agree it is a little convoluted.
bfarber Posted June 20, 2019 Posted June 20, 2019 I can only say that this is on an internal suggestions tracker and is being considered for a future release. GlenP, AlexWright and OptimusBain 1 2

OptimusBain Posted February 12, 2021 Posted February 12, 2021 I also would love the tags to be included in the search as default. My web site is a closed tag forum and tags are critical. They are not taken into consideration by default in the search box 😞 Â
