upgrade url?

2 of my 3 communities got the upgrade notification across the top of the site , how can i access the upgrade on the site that did not get the message and how do i turn the message on?

go to the application list and click the check for updates button.

tried that it doesn't do anything

It does..it check for updates. If there are any, it then presents an 'update available'link which you can then click on to proceed with updates.

The update check automatically runs every 24 hours...if you are in the front-end when or after it does that then you get the front end notification.

Not getting it even though there should be updates available? Log a ticket.

is there a setting to be notified of betas? maybe i have it turned off on this community and on , on my other 2

Yes, you must place this in your constants.php to obtain betas through the auto-upgrader:

define( 'USE_DEVELOPMENT_BUILDS', true );

that rings a bell, in what directory is the constants.php located?

never mind i copied from my other sites

In the community root directory. The one which contains your index.php file and the applications and system directory
