How is this different or better than the default YouTube embed? 

you can set autoplay, on default embed autoplay parameter is stipped out from the link.

yes inn deed and ips dont have this  in there software and all you have to do is ad the url and ya done

As far as am aware you can post youtube video's in a post (just post the url and it will show)

unless am not understanding the topic (which is possible)

you cant post a  you tube video in a post with out having to embed the video with the plugin you can add the url directly from the bar witch i think it makes more seance 

 

Sorry but as far as am able to tell I can post youtube url here (and on my forum) and video shows (believe this has been mentioned previously a while ago) which is why I mentioned must be reading your post wrong (and I still must be if saying need to use your way)

i dont see any where here that you can post a you tube video in there editor  i gess you have to embed the codes ...but some forums dont like to let there members put url because it give back links to there website...

It auto embeds just like everything else. Haven't had to use bbcodes or other methods since 3.x.x.

Try it, simply copy the url of a youtube or dailymotion and just paste it in the editor and it will display the video.

yea i know that?  its just a plugin for those who do not want there members to post embed codes
