Where is the setting to have members automatically follow their posts by default?

I'm not sure there is one. I've been looking for it myself.

According to this:

There is a means to do this in version 4.1.16, which I just installed. But for the life of me I can't find it.

Search for "Notification" in the Admin CP search.

That's in ACP -> Members -> Notifications -> click the blue "Notification Settings" button.

The popup has a number of choices, one of which is what you want, I believe.

Also just learned something. I was finding that previous members were not being forced to follow topics and posts. Only new ones. When you change the notification settings, if you want it to apply to both new AND old members, click on the link within this sentence:

Adjusting these settings will affect new members only unless you adjust existing members.
