Currently one of the largest issues I'm having on my forum at the moment is that when people add a signature they can make it any size they want. Putting in a max length/image size would be extremely helpful and help keep the size of people's images in their signatures down. At the moment the only thing I know to do is disable signatures, but at the same time that is not exactly fair to the others that have smaller signatures.

in the group settings you can find these settings. all that you need.

Maximum size of images in signature
Maximum number of images in signature
Maximum number of links in signature
Maximum lines of text in signature

I put max images in signature as 0 for my basic memebrs but they can still add images.

Just tested it out - works fine here. Got an example account I can test against?

Perhaps they are linking to remote images.

ur an angel. I think its corrected.  After upgrade and also cleared all caches or whatever all the stuff I do, now they cant add a signature.  PHEW  ...

oh well Im just in test set up mode currently so that wasnt happening but how do I prevent this in the future when all the millions register (DREAMIN ON HA HA)

In the Group settings Signatures area, set Maximum number of links in signature to 0.
