Best Answer Feature

The Best answer feature, then this is ticked the answer is moved to the top under the question.

Whilst good it also removes it from the thread, it would be good to have the option to leave this in the thread as well and just placing a copy at the top, otherwise the thread is missing a post and it can become out of synch.

I love this option :)

Actually the way it works is it arranges all the posts not just the best answer, so it will look like this with the votes:

10
8
5
3
1
0
0

You can toggle this for date sort. ;)

PS. Not sure how ties are worked out (combined with Likes to break?). Love this feature though.

@chilihead Any way to have the default view set to Sort by Date for all Members ?

No, but it should be a simple mod. To me that kind of defeats the purpose and the best answer would be lost in the shuffle. Do your users not like the way it works? I like it.

If it's strictly a question or how-to forum, it works well. If you think it is more for discussion, use a regular forum. :)

Thanks - I wont be making template changes - but thanks anyways

Any chance to have an ACP option to choose the default sorting for Q&A threads ?

I loved the 3.x style for best answer feauture (best answer at the top AND in the topic, no lose during reading)
