CheersnGears Posted March 2, 2015 Posted March 2, 2015 In 3.4.7, we have the ability to set the article author to someone other than the person entering the actual article. We use this frequently for guest article posts where an article will be submitted to us but then one of the admins actually does the posting. We do it this way so we don't need to grant IP.C editor access to someone who may only post an article once or twice and also because we have too may issues with the existing Promote to Article function.
opentype Posted March 2, 2015 Posted March 2, 2015 It’s still possible in the ACP, but not anymore on the front end.
bradl Posted November 14, 2015 Posted November 14, 2015 I would like this very much as I end up posting almost all articles for our club . Then I race to the ACP and database settings to change the author to the responsible party. I think it could be somewhat confusing for anyone following a category and receiving notifications as to who's really posting.
Brian K. Posted December 21, 2015 Posted December 21, 2015 Definitely would like to see this ability from 3.4 brought back. Come on IPS, why cut such great features?? First promote to article and then this.
CheersnGears Posted January 8, 2016 Author Posted January 8, 2016 One of our fine Marketplace developers @Adriano Faria is coming to our rescue on this.
Joey_M Posted January 8, 2016 Posted January 8, 2016 It's a bug of a couple of my site(s) helpers but to be honest, it's never really bothered me at all. It's good to see a release for it though.
