Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications Matt November 11, 2024Nov 11
September 7, 201212 yr Author Interesting, I take it you made sure a post was made in between each time you tried to run the query? Otherwise it would be stored in the query cache and run very quickly, producing skewed results.
September 10, 201212 yr Author Here's the previously staff-only Tracker issue which now seems to be open to the public. This contains what I presume will be the official fix for the problem. Ultimately, it's exactly the same way I did it, using a nested subquery to grab the posts first, so if you've already implemented my solution I personally wouldn't bother changing to this one unless you really want to, it will be done when you upgrade to 3.4 anyway. http://community.invisionpower.com/resources/bugs.html/_/ip-board/big-topics-i-mean-big-topics-r36577
September 20, 201212 yr I've just applied that patch, hope it will help us because we are dealing with serious downtimes. Tech support think it's a 3rd party issue, but it occurs even on Performance Mode. Using 3.3.4 Thanks Peter for your help!
September 20, 201212 yr No more MySQL query flood since this patch has been applied. It's amazing, we were dealing with that issue for several weeks, thanks again Peter!
September 24, 201212 yr Our board is now fast, even on heavy traffic, this patch should be "officialized"

September 24, 201212 yr There's supposed to be an attachment on the bug report but it's gone.and it's back.
December 10, 201212 yr After updating to 3.4, it seems that this problem is back again!! Have you downloaded this patch ?
January 13, 201312 yr Author Still have this issue with 3.4.1, is there a patch ? This issue is fixed with the 3.4 series so if you have a problem with speeds you should open a ticket because it's not this issue.
