Posted July 21, 201014 yr Is there a setting to not show what a member is currently viewing in their profile? Is there a way to disable the list of "Latest visitors" that appears in a profile? I know at least some of this can be set in the user's profile settings, but they're hard to find and the user shouldn't have to look around for it. It's the same problem Facebook has with privacy, where you have to find obscure settings and no one knows exactly how it works.
July 21, 201014 yr As I posted in your topic in peer to peer an hour or two ago :) , its possible to set everyone's 'Show X latest visitors on my profile' to 0 with a query (not checked it but I do not see why not) Or an alternative is to simply skin that section out of the profile, then they never can show. :)
July 21, 201014 yr Author It's also possible to write my own forum system from scratch. But why should I? If it's not supported in the control panel, it's not supported.
July 21, 201014 yr Well it is offered in the control panel via the Look & Feel tab, eg skinning it out.

There is not a setting to disable what a member is currently viewing from their profile. You can disable access to the profile itself, or skin that section out, however. There is a per-user setting to disable latest visitors, and you can edit member accounts from the ACP to change this setting. There is not a "global" setting that overrides member selections, however.
