ok i was in my cpanel i updated my corn jobs and i didnt change anything i just update it cause it didnt work so i thought if i update it it might work but then i go on my site after i update it and i get a 500 internal server error on my forums please help !!!!!!!!!!! It might be best to ask your host about a 500 error as they will be able to find the cause and fix it quickly i would of thought :)

yea i was thinking about that but i want to learn myself how to do it and would like to do somethng wihtout asking my host because dont really like my host either.so does anyone know how to ?

I think you would need access to the error logs (not sure which ones probably apache) to determine the error :unsure:

EDIT:NVM I GOT IT my forums folder was chmod to 777 and i had to change it to 755

Can you set the permission on that directory to 755 ?

Can't CHMOD anything to 777 when you have suphp or phpsuexec installed! (Which I'm assuming you do because it will cause 500 errors when things are 777'ed.)
