Why isn't IDM given more advertisment on the forums?

They don't realy have a Company Feed Back spot and you can't give it a mini test drive on the forum either.

Charles could you set up an ID. Manager on the forums? For people to test it out then maybe you would get more people buying it because they would know how to work it before they buy it or if they like the features.

I believe NeverendingLands.com was referring to the users/prospective customers who wished to demo Invision Download Manager (as they couldn't demo it at IPS Beyond, unless they were already a current customer of IPS).

But what if someone who doesn't currently own IPB (and who isn't an IPS Customer), and wants to purchase a copy IPB and IDM, and demo IDM before purchasing do?

I didn't say that. I said if the customer did want to purchase IDM and IPB at the same time (and haven't purchased IPB or IDM before, and have never purchased anything from IPB before), and wanted to demo IDM before they purchased it, they would have no way of doing it (they wouldn't be able to test it on IPS Beyond, as they wouldn't be a previous customer of IPS).

that's not necessarily true, everybody's need is different, often the plugins that are available make the decision point for which forum software brand people go...

Note: IP.Blog, IP.Gallery, and IP.Downloads are not currently enabled on our online demo. These demo additions will be coming soon.

Maybe the demo system needs to be updated so that it can solve this issue.

I'd assume IP.DM was installed here for a particular reason.

It was installed here for other reasons (not as a demo), but we've changed our minds on how that is/was going to work.

I'll talk with Charles today about this - perhaps adding it to the free/hosted demo we have, but there really is very little use for it on our company forums here besides a demo, and this is a professional/corporate forums after all. We will see. :)

I would like to see the Admin side of everything. Plus I think in the next build of IPB there should be that advertising spot like for IP Gallery and IP Blogs
