Are there any major issues to having topics with a large number of postings / replies ? e.g 2k for example ?

Upgraded to latest forum a week a back and little to slow to load fist page but it has been running. Today trying to get into the Admin control pannel gives server error 500. I think this is due to mysql process which is killing the server. Had to restart mysql server and with no other users on site the mysql proc is over 400% Not sure path on path to resolve. Any help would be appreciated.

On the lasest version of the foum now but need to upgrade MySql from version 5.5 It is just a case of getting my host to upgrade it or does something more need to be done ?

Thanks, host re-applied your mysql user's password in cPAnel and all working again now. I have reached out for help from the providers here for the upgrade.

Thanks Jim, Yes, sorry should have said I am still on 4.3 and not done any forums upgrades (looking for help with that) just got the errors above with my current forum untouched and trying to work out why. Thanks.

Great thanks for your help. I need to update PHP on my sever before looking into upgarde the forum but think the IPb version i am on will not work with PHP8.1 Do you offer a service to do the forum upgrade for me ? Currently on. PHP version 5.6.32. MySQL version 5.5.61-cll.
