  1. could you just make the PSD available? most of us have graphics-editing programs ... thanks.
  2. I'm wondering if the "basic package" that will be available for no cost will be starting at "10." Currently, I've heard from a few of my members who like the chat but if it's going to be lower than "10," I'm not sure what to think of that.
  3. Apparently, after you apply the patch and clear your browser cache, you have to exit your browser and open your browser again. This was unknown to me as the patch seems to be working fine with no errors.
  4. I did. Also conducted the changes that Enkidu suggested. While the chat does work, I still get the #CJOIN-0 error.
  5. Let's just say that I'm learned the better part of valor here. I don't have an ego to bruise and I've learned when and where to pick my fights. This is definitely not one of them. Besides, it's never a good idea to pick with those who run things.
  6. I don't know if I would be so quick to point out mistakes. I'd rather point out suggestions on how to correct it or just be patient. More flies with honey than with sugar.
  7. That could be a problem since ipchat.css wasn't created with the installation. Ended up having to create the template bit. It's better. Still a formatting problem with the name display in the main post area but otherwise, okay. Thanks, Enkidu. It just parses a username if it happens to a long username with more than 12 characters.
  8. Ah! Thanks. While it still looks the same, it does work. I really need to learn code ... :P ... I'm a real caveman ... :hairy:
  9. Here, I have included a screenshot of the image of IP.Chat, after Beta 3 has been installed/upgraded: If you notice, it looks nothing like IPS' chat.
  10. Well, I installed it exactly as it should have been, but. it still has the same old dreary monstrous text post box, like everyone else has reported. Even thorugh clearing the browser cache. While waiting on the next beta, I can assure you that the installation I did does not look anywhere like the one installed on here.
  11. If that's the case, I might eventually buy an updated package. But, I'm going to need to gauge just how much demand there would be before I can make a determination. Currently, at least, until IPS releases the next version of the Beta, that's a determination I can't normally make. I'm curious if IP.Chat is going to be easy enough to customize. I noticed that the chatbox for IPS' IP.Chat has been customized with a smaller "textbox" as well as tabled version that organizes the users name as well as the message he or she types. I'm hoping that these kind of customizations will be available to all license owners.
  12. Atari, I'm not sure that anyone would want more than just 10 users at a time. I know I used to run into problems with my webhost because of extreme server load spikes until they stopped happening, when I was using MKPortal, until I stopped using that.. With IP.Chat, if you have more than 10 users, your CPU use is going to go straight out of the window unless you have a dedicated server. The majority of us are limited to shared hosting or reseller accounts with are limited to the type of resources we can use. I plan on using it, but at the basic level.
  13. Brandon, we're just having fun. We're all aware that you guys are working on the problem.
  14. ... sad, we're all so sad ... chat broke ... I'm broke ... we're all broke ... ... I ... Need ... Chat ... to ... work ... need ... need ...
  15. what did you change to get it to work :P
  16. You have an actual working chatroom?
  17. Same here. I refreshed my browser as well and nothing happened. AtariAge, eventually, we'll get a working Chat to Beta Test. (w00t) Come to think of it, I keep looking over my shoulder hoping to find Alan Funt with his Candid Camera crew. This making me light-headed and slap-happy. :hyper: :P
  18. The one thing I've been wondering is just how in the world did IPS customize the IP.Chat to get the smaller "post box" and the tabled format where the message appear? It's kind of mean :ermm: that that IPS Chat is working but nobody else's is.
  19. I just thought about something. How can IPS get feedback from IP.Chat during this beta testing if the chat is broke by these errors? (w00t)
  20. Submit a Support Ticket. They'll fix the problem.
  21. One of my Forum Moderators related a new problem to me regarding the chat. This is the problem: 1. Upon entering the chat, after acknowledging the rules, we're allowed to enter the chat. 2. Upon typing a message, hitting enter, chatbox just goes to next line without displaying the message; when "Post Message" is pressed, the chat kicks you out of the chatroom to the original default screen where the forum rules are displayed (if you have created them for the chatroom). It is a neverending loop, even if you refresh.
  22. Wait, Beta 3? I thought Beta 2 was just recently added.
