Just off the top of my head, one reason I've seen is some forums have a redirect forum at the very top of their forum lists that redirects to the registration form. This is only shown to guests, and so, of course, you would not want admins to see it. Some people also hide their trash can as they have no interest in it unless they actually need to get something out of it.

You can submit a ticket to sales for custom services - it is something we could no doubt improve on, but do feel free to contact us - if it's not something we can do we can normally point you in the direction of someone who can.

Just delete anything except: - conf_global.php - style_x - uploads Before uploading the IPB 3 files. And then after the install is complete, delete the style_x folders (the contents of which I believe get copied to the new place in the installation)

The information is already stored in the database - there's just nothing to display it in the warn logs page. Regardless of whether this will be seen in the future, that means a hook could easily do this.

Meh - the phpBB3 converter is ready... I suppose I could build a release for you... you'll be the first person to use it though so expect a couple of bugs ;) It's is on my work computer - so I'll get that for you at some point tomorrow.

The converters will be available when IPB3 goes final - but I've only written one for phpBB3 (seems pointless to write converters for such old software). So; you could either use the existing converters to convert phpBB2 --> IPB 2.3, and then upgrade to IPB3 -or- you would upgrade to phpBB3, then when the converters are available, convert to IPB3. The former seems like it would be the easier option :)

When has any member of staff said it wouldn't be ready for final? That is wrong. We have every intention of releasing subscriptions manager with IP.Board 3.0 before handing it over to the community... Matt has been working on it for a while.

The last response I see was Tue 19 May 2009 04:22:22 AM EDT: To which we received no response and the ticket is currently in the "Awaiting customer action" status. If you are still experiencing problems, you should reply to the ticket :)

Yes, Gallery, etc. required very little changes - just a code upgrade from the 2.3 code to the 3.0, and are now "done" - subscriptions manager requires a few more changes, and so is not yet :)

The subscriptions manager hasn't been forgotten about it - we recently had a big discussion about the direction to take it and as far as I am aware, Matt is working on it today. We are aware of the problems with the subscription manager (which are mainly related to third-parties updating their APIs) and so it's taking a little longer to fix those issues than say, Gallery, Blog and Downloads which just needed to be updated to the IPB3 code :)

Hello, The 48 hour response time is stated on our standards of service: http://www.invisionpower.com/corporate/standards.html I am sorry that you feel our standards of service is not to the level you expect, but it is nonetheless, what they are. Furthermore, it is our hosting policy that when the service is not paid for, it is suspended until it has been - I would imagine all hosts are the same, and you could have simply avoided this entire situation by simply paying the invoice that would have been Emailed to you weeks ago. It is unfortunate that our Emails ended up in your spam box, but I'm sure you can appreciate, that is out of our control. Posting on these forums that your ticket hasn't been answered in 2 hours is not going to bump you up in the queue - it would not be fair on the other customers who have also been waiting for a response. This forum is for feedback, yes, but what your posting isn't a feedback or a suggestion: it's a complaint about a particular situation and that needs to be addressed through the proper means. If the management email isn't working, please ask for your ticket to be escalated to a member of management, or as has been stated several times, you could have called us at any point to speak to someone immediately. I'm going to close this topic now, as personal issues such as these are not appropriate for the forums. If you have any further concerns, please contact management in the manner I have described, or give us a call. Thank you for your understanding.

Tickets are answered in the order they are received; we never read a ticket and then not respond (unless it has to be forwarded to a different department), so I assure you when someone reads it, it will be responded to. If nobody has responded to your ticket, it means other tickets are in the queue before yours. As you are aware though, the guaranteed response time is 48 hours (of course 99% of the time we respond long before that) - if the issue is urgent, you can call our freephone number and speak to someone immediately.

You can change it. To access the customer area, you need to log in with the same Email and password you use for the client area.

This topic is over a year old (and I should expect someone got back to him by now :P ) but I will say that volunteers answering tickets is just not appropriate. For general inquiries and the like, we have the peer to peer support forums. If you want to volunteer to assist, that is the place - we do notice who regularly helps out in there and are very grateful to those that do. Incidentally - our technicians aren't just in the US... I'm in the UK and start at what is 5am EST, sales and billing are in even before that.
