Posted April 9Apr 9 Feature request.Situation: I have motocycle forums on 5.0.5 Cloud plan. People from all over the world come to ask Tech questions or to post DIY's for their motorcycles.Issue: Members often forget to post which year and trim level motorcycle they are talking about and some model years and trims have different tech specs and or parts.Requested: Feature solution. I would love if we could set predetermined Prefixes that Members would have to choose from when creating new topics, but only in certain boards/sections of the forum that we would choose in Admin CP.Result: A member comes to post a technical issue or DIY that they have with their motorcycle. when creating a topic, they are forced to choose a prefix and a menu pops up with Prefix choices 2021-2023, 2024-2025 ETC, etc. After they make their choice the prefix is inserted into the beginning of the title of the topic. Then , members can always give accurate info and also be able to search for solutions by prefixes and get more accurate search results.Im sure this would help many other Admins as well. What do you think? Edited April 9Apr 9 by Cruizin
April 10Apr 10 Community Expert Have you considered using tags for this instead? It wouldnt solve the issue here as they want only to use in certain locations, and want to enforce their use

For example, you could rename the main WYSWYG field to "Issue". Just a thought anyway. Just a

But man I have a ton of different sections where people post tech questions, solutions, they also post the new parts they bought and installed and I would have to make 75% of the forum pages. And then go back and move 60K old topics to new pages. And many of those old topics rank #1 in google search for certain search quearies. I'm not discounting your solution, it would just require a lot of change. And so much of my forum is people posting about their bikes. Edited April 10Apr 10 by Cruizin
