Just wanted to feedback on the pricing we were quoted yesterday for a staging server on the cloud platform - $249 per month.

That's more expensive than the 2nd most expensive non-enterprise hosting package for a (virtually) zero-traffic staging server. I've seen some strange pricing of things in my time, but I don't think I've seen anything so obviously priced in the 'we don't want you to buy this' bracket as that.

Obviously, the price is the price and Invision can set it where they like, but just wanted to put it out there that we're a paying customer (already on the business package for what it's worth) who wanted to spend more money with you, but definitely won't be at that price!

Appreciate the feedback. To be candid, you’re partially right in your implication that this particular offering isn’t aimed towards the average community owner.

Free trials are a great way to test theme changes, third party modifications and configuration options. For most, this is quite sufficient, and again, free and simple.

Those that require the ability for the above to be carried out with a full, replicated dataset - either for compliance or policy purposes - have an option to do so. This option, regardless of traffic, effectively doubles your data footprint across multiple environments as per security regulations, staging and production workloads must be isolated.

In short, it is a service we are pleased to offer, but our target for the package is rather specific.
