Hey everyone,

I hit the transfer cap on Backblaze recently while running a file migration. After the cap was restored, the migration process didn’t resume. There are still a bunch of files pending, but the background task seems to have stopped and won’t restart automatically.

Has anyone run into this before? Is there a way to manually trigger or force the background task to resume the file transfers?

Thanks in advance!

Background tasks would just try every time the queue task is run, so it should just continue from where it was. How are you running your background tasks? Do you have cron set up?

Yeah, I’m running the background tasks via cron, and it’s been at least 7 hours since they stopped. They haven’t resumed at all, even though the cron jobs are still running as expected.

Are you seeing anything in your system logs?

I’m only seeing the errors related to the Backblaze transfer cap, nothing else in the logs. No new errors since the cap was lifted

Im not actually seeing any background tasks on your site, so its likely they all failed. You need to revert to your backup and then start the process again really.

Its worth noting, you can manually move everything, then just point to the new setup with each item, deselecting move automatically, which may be a better option

Is there any documentation on how to do the manual process? Re-running it from scratch would cost double the Backblaze capacity just to upload everything again.

You would contact Backblaze for instructions on how to manually move things to their storage.
