Hi there,

We have a number of RSS feeds on the forum, where these are imported to one of our other sites. Recently we are seeing an error when the images are being accessd:

Client error: GET https://media.invisioncic.com/o278943/monthly_2025_01/image.jpeg.b668049079f5ea14954a6bbadfd3ca43.jpeg resulted in a 403 Forbidden response:

Not sure why this is happening and the last time there was a successful import was 02/24/2025 - 04:16

Is there some new restriction in place that is preventing the feeds from being imported to our other site?

Thanks

Hans

Thanks Marc, any update on this? We have a particular contributor that we now need to add content manually to the other site and this is quite tedious, where the feed import was automatic.
Thanks

Please could you give me an example where its being used that I can take a look at?

Marc, we use Drupal for the site CRM and that has the option to import an RSS feed to the site. We have profiles of clients there and we had an error when trying to add an RSS feed to a new client. It is during the import process that the error occurs.

There is a feed on our home page at https://hairtransplantnetwork.com/ lower on the page under "Top Posts by Leading Clinics" where the last successful import was 03/19/2025. There have been multiple posts in the forum that have not been imported from the RSS.

Thanks, this is feed that is successful, the newer feeds do not import when it is run from the Drupal admin area.

https://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/rss/54-dr-emil-george.xml is a valid RSS feed, but failed to import.

The page I sent is where the feed is working, however if you look at the most recent RSS you will see that the recent posts are not showing:

https://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/rss/1-top-66-results-posted-by-leading-clinics.xml/

The RSS shows posts by Dr George and a few others, but are NOT showing on the page.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

My guess here is that the images are being proxied, which would lead the system to believe that its a bot doing this. If you visit any of the URLs there, you can see they are not being blocked. If you can provide me with the IP which would be reading I can certainly take a look (feel free to PM me)

Thanks will do

Just tried a few minutes ago and got this message:

That would be rate limiting. Something is calling that page a lot so its limiting the requests

Thanks Marc,

How can this be set up, so that we are able to import a large number of RSS feeds to our site? Could you"whitelist" our IP address? This is something that started recently, as prior to March 18, it worked fine and all out clients had their posts imported to our other site.
Thanks

I've moved this to a ticket so we can work with you on this to see how often you are accessing it.
