Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications Matt November 11, 2024Nov 11
Posted February 20Feb 20 HeyI'd like to make a paid course available only to members who have purchased a subscription plan. I can see that subscriptions are not available to be selected from the selection box when you want to associate a course with a product. What is the best way to achieve what I want to do? Ideally, I'd like the course to be available as a paid course to non-subscribers but alternatively available at no extra cost as a part of a subscription.Out of interest, why are subscriptions not considered to be products?CheersJohn

However at present the only way would be to create a product and associate that product with your course, bypassing subscriptions altogetherThanks Marc. That’s what I figured, but it’s far from ideal. Is there an easy way to move customers of a product with repeat pricing over to being community subscribers at a later date? There are advantages to listing a repeat price product as a shop product or as a subscription. Personally, I think a community subscription should be available within the shop as a special repeat price product… ie resolve the differences properly rather than creating a fudge of a subscription product that is kind of like a community subscription (except it isn’t listed at sign up iirc). I think there can still be repeat price products outside subscriptions, but community subscriptions ARE products.
