Hi everyone,

I’m trying to set up clubs but want to restrict full access only to premium members. Regular members (non-premium) should be able to see the club index (names of clubs) but not access the individual clubs or their content.

The issue is that in the group permissions settings, I only see options for Forums and Downloads, but nothing specific for Clubs.

I can see permissions in club module but if i check only premium the clubs are completly hidden for others.

There isnt a function which would allow them to do this in the software at present. Clubs are intended for the person setting up the club to set up its type, and for everyone to follow that type

You need to setup the club as invite-only and then a member is promoted to the premium group use an application to automatically send out an invite or directly add them.

Clubs are intended to serve community managers way they need 😅

seriouslly, as community manager i need more granular permissions and controls on differents area of my website, i think its the case of others managers too.

For clubs i am looking to show them clubs but without possibility to join, just like Downloads, they see files pages, but the download button is disabled.

Thanks! This will show clubs on index ?

What I was talking about was selecting this Privacy option when creating the club:

Closed

Everyone can see the club and who's in it, but by default only members can see posts and participate. Leaders can set individual club sections so anybody can view or participate. Users need to ask a leader to join.

If you want the clubs to show on the index, you need to enable this option: ACP > Community > CLUBS > Settings > Show Club Content Areas. Select the option:

Throughout the community

Users will see content areas from Clubs they can view in the applications throughout the community, alongside regular content.

This will only list the relative areas, though. For example, it will show forums from closed clubs on the forum index, etc.

If you want to show a list of clubs themselves and not just their areas, you can use a widget.
