How do you convert physical products from v4 to v5.0? Would you please be able to explain what I should do?

I tried during the betas and final, but I ended up with locked items.

Please could you avice me?

Do I need to change something before?

You cannot convert physical products to version 5. Physical product items no longer exist on version 5

You can still sell physical items, just without the weight measurements and shipping etc.

So, I can't convert items into a version that works on v5? I have existing links on the internet, that use the URLs as a means to bring in customers. I'm just trying to retain what I can, but it sounds like I can't.

Could you please ensure this is the case.

You may have to create existing products as new ones on v5 and edit the links you have posted.

My community was created on an alpha version of v5 and not upgraded from v4.

You would just switch them to normal items rather than physical ones

The idea was to preserve any data so that it could potentially be migrated to another system.

That said, I think there is room for improvement here, and we could allow the admin to convert them to normal products. I'll log this internally for discussion (but no ETA at the moment).
