tpasa Posted December 4 Posted December 4 Hi, I'm trying to set up my RSS so I can have my content pushed to Baseball Reference in this process. I've gone in and set up my RSS for my Forums I think. But I can't find my RSS URL to send to Baseball Reference. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks.
Marc Posted December 4 Posted December 4 Check the RSS you have set up is for areas which are accessable to guests

Marc Posted December 5 Posted December 5 Please see the following guide on permissions, which shows how to set things up.

Marc, I went into permissions and I don't see anywhere to allow guests to see RSS. All I need is my RSS URL. I went into page source in my main forum and found this. Is this my RSS feed URL? https://forum.orioleshangout.com/forum/2-orioles-talk.xml/?member=11904&key=a75ba8de49af52271e4b0d82ff28ed8f Edited December 6 by tpasa
Marc Posted December 6 Posted December 6 You need to ensure guests can see the content your RSS feed is showing

Marc Posted December 6 Posted December 6 Im really quite confused by your response there, as you appear to have given me the RSS feed you cannot find to give to your feed reader

I'm trying to get my content on a site called Baseball Reference. They require me to send them the RSS feed link URL. All I'm looking for is how to find that URL (I assume I'll need to send each forum and not the entire board). Was the URL I gave you my RS feed for that forum? Is this the RSS feed URL for the "minors board?" https://forum.orioleshangout.com/forum/3-minors.xml/?member=11904&key=a75ba8de49af52271e4b0d82ff28ed8f Edited December 6 by tpasa
tpasa Posted December 6 Author Posted December 6 I'm going to assume the link I provided is the RSS feed URL for that forum and that I will need to submit each forum RSS feed URL.
Marc Posted December 6 Posted December 6 Ah, that makes more sense. You would want to create yourself a custom feed for this https://invisioncommunity.com/4guides/how-to-use-ips-community-suite/content-discovery/rss-feeds-r310/ Have you done that first of all?

This is the forum: https://forum.orioleshangout.com/forum/3-minors Now, scroll all the way down to the bottom of the page: That is the link to the RSS feed for that forum. It will be the same place on each page if an RSS feed exists for it - it's down there in the footer area.

The activity feed of course would should all forums, but would also show things other than forum activity
Nathan Explosion Posted December 6 Posted December 6 And I am showing him where he can find the URL for the RSS feed of a page when it is being viewed, which is what he was originally asking for and wasn't ever actually answered in a clear statement On 12/4/2024 at 2:56 PM, tpasa said: But I can't find my RSS URL to send to Baseball Reference.
