Hi.

How do I set default forum view in V5?

A search of ACP indicates that (like V4) it is here:

Community => Forums => Settings

But there is no setting for this.

Thank you @Nathan Explosion.

ACP is as flaky as ever then. It is going to take me a good while to find everything.

It is disappointing that I cannot select grid at one level (home) and table for child containers - the option applies at all levels, no matter the level where it is selected. I was hoping I'd be able to do something a bit different with the layout.

Keep in mind that things will change. Version 5 is a major version. Things have been moved that impact the design of the forum to the front-end designer area.

You're more than welcome to suggest this in the feedback forum. However, version 5, is taking an approach to simplify things for your users and unify layouts. You can read about this in our version 5 blogs 🙂

Fair enough. But, you know, ACP search in V4.7 is very unreliable too. 🙂

I might do that. I think there is some utility in using a different layout for the home page (essentially, a list of categories), and then use child subcategories (where required)

By the way - a bug - when I delete a forum (with posts), 'unread' posts persist, with no apparent way to mark as read, the 'last post' is still displayed (in table view), and the post count is not adjusted downward.

Yeah. I spotted that just before your heads-up. 🙂 (But it was merged into my last post.)
