Oh, he's not attached as an alternate account to your license so is in our "Friends" group which is limited to 250KB.

@Jim M I add the owner's account to my alternative account. He is still getting the 250kb error. Do you need to remove him from he "Friends" group?

They will need to log out and back in for that to take effect.

@Jim M He says he signed out and signed back in and still gets that same 250kb error.

Please ensure that they're logging in with the email which you assigned as the alternate account. The previous display name and the account you assigned as alternate are different.

@Jim M He posted some images that were sideways. They posted fine in your test forum, although I can't see it. Given I moved to a new OS with all new packages installed, some being the latest or near latest version. What other things should I be looking for to debug this?

Unfortunately, there's really not much more we can recommend as server configuration is outside our scope of support. Switching servers doesn't really help much if they are configured similarly and continue to strip/corrupt image's metadata when uploaded.

If you have any complexity in your environment, I would suggest narrowing it. I.e. if you're using CloudFlare, proxies, firewalls, mod_security, or anything else which can strip/corrupt metadata of the image, that will create issues for you.

There's nothing special about it, just AWS Linux 2023 with PHP, MariaDB, Redis and the other required software InvisionBoard requires. Very basic setup since 2009.

I'm afraid, we do not support server environments so you would need to hire a server administrator if you are having issues.

That server admin is me, unfortunately. Does Invisionboard strip EXIF data from photos uploaded (I know there is a setting to strip sensitive data)?

Only that which you mention there already. And in any event, it would do the same on ours as it does on yours, in terms of the software side of things
