Not at all. If you click on the upgrade button, it will get rid of it for you 🙂 If you are on a version which has a security related update required, we dont allow it to be dismissed

Upgrades are a dicey proposition, hence my hesitation.

Being in a position whereby email may stop working, and running a version known to have security flaws that have since been resolved, is less of a dicey proposition? 

To be fair, while not enamored with the forced upgrade, it came off without a hitch.
