princeton Posted April 8 Posted April 8 (edited) I don't see any reason why IPS strips blockquotes from schema text property. Can someone elaborate why this is the case? Or, help me understand why? Quote tes ttest test test test Edited April 8 by princeton
Management Matt Posted April 11 Management Posted April 11 It's to ensure lots of HTML and markup isn't sent along in the schema, which is primarily for search engines. It just confuses and takes up space that is better served getting content over. Marc and SeNioR- 1 1
princeton Posted May 5 Author Posted May 5 (edited) The problem with this... When someone just posts a quote (for purpose of not repeating themselves or someone else) the post is considered empty by search engines. eg. Google gives a schema WARNING or INVALID when they run into an "empty" post. Edited May 5 by princeton
Marc Posted May 6 Posted May 6 In the case of an item such as that, it would indeed be blank, so the warning would probably be valid
